Even though I’m a die hard Yankees fan, I’m going to go to one game at Shea next month because even though it’s a boring stadium, after this season it’s gone forever.

Is this the last of those cookie cutter ballparks from the 60’s that included Veterans in Philly, and the old ones in Baltimore and Cleveland?

Who else is going to Shea this year just because it’s its last year?
Yes, by run of the mill, cookie cutter, I mean that era of ballparks when they made them with no imagination and no creativity. They were dome like and round for the most part. Shea most definitely falls into this category. When Camden Yards in the early 90s opened, it was the beginning of the new era. Now they build ballparks to look like they used to look before the 60s. Camden was the first of this era, and many others followed suit.
